Farmshare ATX Soil Health Demo SEPT 21.pdf.png

Explore Soil health and other conservation practices appropriate for small and mid-sized growers in Central Texas! At this event, we will be taking a close look at tunnel systems (both high tunnel and low tunnel), some of which are supported by NRCS funding programs for farmers. We will also be talking about plantings that can be used to attract beneficial insects and pollinators.

This will be a great opportunity to meet other farmers and technical service providers interested in growing sustainable agricultural practices for a resilient food system!

This is a free event with lunch provided. Additional agenda and speaker information will be available soon at: http://www.smallproducersinitiative.txst.edu/workshops.html

So you’re selling your products, but you don’t have a great system in place to keep track of it all… come learn from two Texas producers and educators - Shakera Raygoza of Sentli Center and Terra Preta Farm, and Michelle Akindiya of Farmshare Austin - what it looks like to track harvests and sales across different market channels. They’ll share and explain their farm harvest and sales tracking systems, and how they utilize services like Square and Quickbooks. We’ll leave plenty of time for discussion, and we’ll send you home with customizable tracking spreadsheet templates.
